Organic meat:
The cows are having beautiful babies. Anyone interested in some beef for your freezer give us a call. A note from Geoff below:
Hi
Hope everything is doing well with you and yours.
We fatten our steers for three months on ground corn ,soybean,. We do not use any steroids or hormones! ,They are raised on pasture and hay (organic, natural)
Typically they are around a year old.They weigh around eight to nine -hundred pounds.
We charge $1.30 per pound on the hoof. I take it to a butcher in Gallitin county or maybe you have another in mind.
In the butchering process you lose a third of the weight and the butcher charges you around .40 cents a pound to cut and package it the way you want.
You can request a half a beef.
We need a minimum six months notice so we can plan on what to keep back. It could take longer.
